Me, I’m running the RopeMarks platform for some time now. This platform is awesome, I can show and promote my kinbaku activities as I want. My daily hits are quite high and I have you to thank for that. However, it’s impossible to ignore social media platforms. It has become mandatory to be visible there as well. Here the issues start.
We, kinbaku lovers have instagram accounts and/or facebook accounts and/or whatnot account on other general purpose social media platforms. Here is the other issue.
I am free to do as I please on my own RopeMarks platform but I am tied hand and foot on the common social media platforms. I do not like to be tied! When I have a beautiful kinbaku-art photo but it shows a female nipple I am unable to share it via social media. I have to censor my beautiful art. Art, mind you, that in the real world is commonly accepted as such, including nipple showing.
Where things go completely sideways is that I see artists go out of their way to create content that can be used on common social media. This means that the rules of social media depict a growing standard how artists create their art. This is not artistic freedom, this is downright censorship. Censorship, in my opinion, of the wrong kind. Remember that I am still talking about showing a single female nipple at the moment.
In order to find a solution for this growing issue several initiatives have been started more or less at the same time. My initiative, I searched for a platform where we, kinbaku lovers, could share photos and videos, could openly talk about kinbaku and grow a censorship free community. I searched outside of the RopeMarks platform itself to minimize my technical maintenance and to maximize my exposure. I found my solution in “Discord”.
What is Discord?
According to Wikipedia: “Discord is a VoIP, instant messaging and digital distribution platform designed for creating communities. Users communicate with voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media and files in private chats or as part of communities called ‘servers’. Servers are a collection of persistent chat rooms, known as channels, and voice chat channels. Discord runs on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, iPadOS, Linux, and in web browsers. As of December 2020, the service has over 140 million monthly active users and has a total user base of around 350 million“.
In addition to this truckload of options and users that put most common social media to shame, Discord is also a very liberal platform that allows adult content! Discord turned out to be so much more than the initial requirements I started with and this is where I now host the “Kinbaku Community Server”.
The Kinbaku Community Server offers a place for uncensored sharing, learning, fun and on top of that (and this is awesome) streaming content! We have virtual meets, streamed live photoshoot and are currently planning our first kinbaku movie night.
