Japanese: 口縄縛り
Kuchi (口): Mouth
Nawa (縄): Rope
Shibari (しばり/縛り): Tie

Kuchi nawa shibari is a way of saying that you use rope as a gag. Specifically a rope that is used for tying, so for instance, left over rope or attaching a new rope to some existing rope-construction and pass it through the mouth one or more times. When tying-off the rope aim for pulling the head back, adding to the torment (seme).

For some the disfiguration of the mouth due to the rope going through it can add to the element of torture (seme).
