Playful & Dirty is a full-day kinbaku masterclass about what happens when technique stops being the goal and becomes a tool for play.
By popular demand, I am bringing Playful & Dirty to Amsterdam for the first time. This first edition brings the material together in one focused and complete day.
We start with floor-based rope and later bring in bamboo, suspensions and transitions. The focus throughout is not only on what you tie, but on what you create with it: intention, timing, body handling, pressure, exposure and the interaction between partners.

What you’ll practice
The topics that we will explore include:
- Using intention to turn a rope structure into a scene
- Timing, pacing, pauses and escalation
- Body handling, positioning and movement
- Playful control, teasing, exposure and vulnerability

- Adapting familiar rope structures to your own interests and dynamic

Each topic combines concrete rope structures with practical ways to make them more personal, responsive and alive. During the workshop there will be plenty of room for experimentation, adaptation and individual feedback.
Is this workshop for you
Your level: Intermediate / Upper Intermediate 
Rigger: You are confident with a 2 TK/gote, any style, as part of your general technical foundation. You are comfortable with multiple uplines, load sharing, suspensions and transitions, and can adapt or troubleshoot rope structures rather than only follow a fixed pattern.
Model: You are familiar and comfortable with a basic gote/TK and have experience in suspension. You can recognise and communicate changing physical sensations, fatigue and limits, and are comfortable with transitions between suspended positions.
The Workshop
Patterns and structures are useful. They give us a common language and something concrete to teach. But following a pattern is not the same as creating a scene. The rope may determine how the body is restrained; intention, timing, body handling and the interaction between partners determine what the bondage becomes.
During the day we explore how rope can create play, control, sexuality, exposure, tension, surrender and connection. What that means will differ between couples. Playful may be teasing, intimate, funny or deliberately awkward. Dirty may be sexual, painful, controlling, humiliating or intensely personal. There is no single correct interpretation.
We begin on the floor, using clear structures to work with proximity, movement, restraint, access and vulnerability. Rather than concentrating only on completing the tie, we look at what happens while it is being created: how you handle the body, when you apply pressure, when you pause, and how the model participates, resists, softens or responds.
Later we bring in bamboo, suspensions and transitions. Bamboo is not decoration. It becomes another element in the scene, changing posture, movement, exposure and the way control feels. We use it to create structure, pressure, asymmetry and controlled intensity, and to explore what becomes possible when the body leaves the floor.
Throughout the workshop, concrete ties and recognisable kinbaku elements are starting points, not fixed routines. Models are active participants whose reactions, choices, limits and feedback influence the direction of the tie.
This is not a workshop about collecting patterns or producing polished photographs. It is about making rope responsive, physical, sexual and alive.
Because a tie is not the scene.

Who’s RopeMarks?
RopeMarks, also known as Bob Roos, is a kinbaku professional from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
He has studied and practised Japanese rope bondage (shibari, kinbaku) since 1999. Over his career he studied in Japan in the lineages of the late Akechi Denki (明智伝鬼) and Naka Akira (奈加あきら). His work is rooted in those traditional techniques and shaped by more than two decades of teaching, performance and personal practice.
His approach combines a strong technical foundation with attention to connection, intention and what happens between people while the rope is being created.
Who’s Ineya?
Ineya has been active in the kink scene for more than 15 years as a switch. Her professional background in social work feeds a longstanding curiosity about people, communication and dynamics.
Her rope journey with RopeMarks began in 2016. Since then she has explored both the emotional and physical sides of shibari, primarily from the bottom perspective and, in recent years, also from the top.
Her approach is rooted in emotional openness, power exchange and the non-verbal dialogue rope can create between two people. In workshops she brings particular attention to communication, awareness and the model’s experience, helping both partners understand what is happening inside the tie as well as how it looks from the outside.
The Practicalities
- Come as a familiar rigger and model couple. You should be comfortable exploring playful, erotic or dirty intentions together.
- This is a clothes-on workshop.
Sexuality may be part of the subject matter and the intention behind the rope, but sexual activity is not part of the workshop itself. - Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
For models, a close-fitting outfit makes it easier to see and assess the position of the rope. - Bring at least 12 pieces of rope, ~8-10m in length, 5-6mm thick.
It will be helpful to have a few shorter pieces, i.e. 2m and 4m in your set.

Tickets for this workshop are non-refundable, but can be sold to another couple that meet the requirements. In order to ensure fairness we kindly ask that you do not sell your workshop ticket to another couple. Instead, contact us as soon as possible. We maintain a waiting list of interested couples who are eager to participate.
If you have an interested couple that would like your ticket, please have them reach out to us directly. We will handle the ticket transfer process based on the order of inquiries received. We will do our best to facilitate the transfer but we cannot guarantee availability for your new buyers. Priority will be given to those on the waiting list to ensure fairness.
When we replace you for another couple you will be fully refunded.
