The Workshop

Level: Intermediate / Upper Intermediate  ,
Prerequisite:
    rigger: Confident with multiple uplines, load sharing, and static suspension positions, able to troubleshoot rope structures.
    model: Comfortable in static suspensions and moderate endurance, able to maintain posture and communicate fatigue.

Playful & Dirty is a full-day kinbaku masterclass about what happens when technique stops being the goal and becomes a tool for play.

By popular demand, I am bringing Playful & Dirty to Amsterdam for the first time. For this first edition, the workshop has been shaped into one focused and complete day.

Patterns and structures are useful. They give us a common language and something concrete to teach. But following a pattern is not the same as creating a scene. The rope may determine how the body is restrained, but intention, timing, body handling and the interaction between partners determine what the bondage becomes.

During this workshop, we explore how rope can create play, control, sexuality, exposure, tension, surrender and connection. What that means will differ between couples. Playful may be teasing, intimate, funny or deliberately awkward. Dirty may be sexual, painful, controlling, humiliating or intensely personal.

There is no single correct interpretation.

We begin with floor-based rope. Clear structures give us room to work with proximity, movement, restraint, access and vulnerability. Instead of concentrating only on completing the bondage, we look at what happens throughout the tying process. How do you handle the body? When do you apply pressure? When do you pause? How does the model participate, resist, soften or respond?

Later in the day, we introduce bamboo.

Bamboo is not used merely as decoration. Its rigidity changes the body, the available movement and the way control is experienced. It can open, separate, support, restrict or display the model and gives the rigger new ways to create pressure, asymmetry and controlled intensity.

Throughout the workshop, we use concrete ties and recognizable kinbaku elements. These are not presented as fixed routines that must be copied exactly. They are structures to understand, adapt and make personal.

Models are active participants in this process. Their reactions, choices, limits and feedback influence the direction of the tie. Both partners are responsible for the experience they create together.

This is not a workshop about collecting patterns or producing polished photographs. It is about learning how to make rope responsive, physical, sexual and alive.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained practical structures and new ways to use them, but more importantly, a clearer understanding of how to turn technique into play and bondage into a shared scene.

Because a tie is not the scene.

Topics

The topics that we will explore include:

• Using intention to turn a rope structure into a scene;
• Timing, pacing, pauses and escalation;
• Body handling, positioning and movement;
• Playful control, teasing and physical interaction;
• Exposure, access and vulnerability;
• Working with pressure, restraint, resistance and surrender;
• Adapting familiar rope structures to your own interests and dynamic;
• The model as an active participant in the tie;
• Introducing bamboo as a tool for restraint, positioning, exposure and controlled intensity;
• Maintaining communication and safety as the experience becomes more demanding

 
Each topic will combine concrete rope structures with practical ways to make them more personal, responsive and alive. Throughout the workshop, there will be room for experimentation, adaptation and individual feedback.

The Practicalities

• You participate as a familiar rope couple and are comfortable exploring playful, erotic or dirty intentions together.
• This is a clothes-on workshop.
  Sexuality may be part of the subject matter and the intention behind the rope, but sexual activity is not part of the workshop itself.
• Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
  Models are advised to wear a close-fitting outfit that makes it easier to see and assess the position of the rope.
• Bring at least 12 pieces of rope, ~8-10m in length, 5-6mm thick.
  It will be helpful to have a few shorter pieces, i.e. 2m and 4m in your set.

• We will take care of coffee, tea and snacks.
  Drinking inside the dōjō is only allowed from a bottle/container that you can close.
• This workshop will be held in the Dutch language, but if needed we switch to English.

Tickets for this workshop are non-refundable, but can be sold to another couple that meet the requirements. In order to ensure fairness we kindly ask that you do not sell your workshop ticket to another couple. Instead, contact us as soon as possible. We maintain a waiting list of interested couples who are eager to participate.

If you have an interested couple that would like your ticket, please have them reach out to us directly. We will handle the ticket transfer process based on the order of inquiries received. We will do our best to facilitate the transfer but we cannot guarantee availability for your new buyers. Priority will be given to those on the waiting list to ensure fairness.

When we replace you for another couple you will be fully refunded.
