Loading Events

I’m happy to announce that after a short COVID-break I’ll be teaching kinbaku workshops again. I found an amazing 1,5 m-distance proof location in Amsterdam.

Workshop: Kinbaku Foundation & Essentials
When: Sun. 6 dec. 2020
Start time: 13:00 – 16.00
Location: Amsterdam (Nieuw West)
Price: €94,95 / couple

Registration opens at 16 okt. Do you want to reserve a spot? Please do so with the partner you’ll be tying with and sign up here!

The Workshop

Are you looking forward to becoming a skilled and creative rigger? Then let me help you to build a solid base. During this workshop I will take you step-by-step through the foundations of kinbaku, (traditional Japanese rope bondage). You’ll learn how to fluently tie arms, legs, and how to combine different ties to play with the full body. The ties that you learn look beautiful, are effective and most important: they are safe.

You’ll get back home home with a solid Japanese rope bondage foundation and the skill to playfully combine essential kinbaku elements.

This is a clothes on, non-sexual workshop, but no doubt you’ll be inspired to bring your new skills into your private intimate play at home.

For who

This course is for you if you’re starting out or if you want to solidify your kinbaku basis. If you are looking for a refresher of the foundation and essentials, this is also for you.

Program

Topics that we will address are

  • Rope & usage
  • Anatomy & safety
  • Communication
  • Single & double column ties
  • Ichinawa (one rope techniques)
  • Knots and frictions
  • Futomomo
  • Untying
  • Space for experimenting and personal advice

The topics are aimed at kinbaku foundation and essentials but can be upscaled when the level of the participants and the available time or the time left allows for this. Each topic will include safety information, details to improve your rope handling, specific techniques to improve your tying and to deepen the connection with your partner.

For the simpler ties you can switch roles, when the ties become more complex no switching is possible anymore.

The practicalities & COVID-19

In every workshop safety comes first. To respect the Corona measurements, we are allowing a maximum of 7 participating couples. The location is approximately 80m2 and with a maximum of 7 couples enough distance can be kept from each other. There is a powerful extraction system that completely refreshes the air every 7 minutes. On top of that we can open opposing windows for continuous fresh air.

This workshop will be held in the Dutch language, if needed we switch to English.

Please come as a rigger and bunny couple. Bring at least 4 pieces of rope, 8m in length, 6mm thick. We have coffee and tea, if you want something else to drink bring it in a bottle/container that you can close.

If you need rope, follow this link: https://www.ropemarks.com/rope/

RopeMarks is recognized as the leading Dutch specialist in the field of Japanese rope bondage. In the world-wide kinbaku scene RopeMarks is a house-hold name of very good reputation.

Update 14 Okt. 2020: COVID-19 & Refunding

The imposed rules as of 14 Oct. 2020 do not make giving this workshop easier. But as it stands now, for this workshop, I think we comply with the rules. I go one step further and provide more space for you to enjoy the workshop than is prescribed by the government. From my end this workshop will take place. When the location itself decides to cancel then I must go along with their decision. But until now there is no indication for this.

Should we reach a point where I have to cancel, also last minute, you will be refunded in full. When the cancellation comes from your side, you will be fully refunded up to two weeks before the start date. Within two weeks you will receive a 75% refund, in the last week you will receive a 50% refund. You can always replace yourself for another couple, you will then be fully refunded. This scale has to do with the costs I incur to set up this workshop. When you do need to cancel for COVID-19 reasons I will do some calculations and when I keep getting out of the costs when refunding you in full, I’ll do that.

This is as open and concrete as I can make it at the moment.

Update 17 Okt. 2020: Opening of registration

I have announced this workshop in several places, my mailinglist and relevant social media. Subscribers of my mailinglist where given a preregistration opportunity. For the announcement on social media I opened the registration on  16 Okt. 2020 at 20:00.  All I can say, thank you very much <3! This workshop sold out in a flash! If you want to join, contact me so I can put you on the waiting list.

    Bedankt!
