About The Workshop

Bob (RopeMarks) from Amsterdam is one of the few Western riggers who’s still very much rooted in traditional kinbaku. In this two day workshop he will inspire you with his technical skills, speedy tying and creativity. His main focus as a teacher is helping you to really understand the way of, your, rope. What do you want to achieve, why, and what are your options to get there in a safe way? In the end: understanding the way (and your own way) of rope, is the best way to become more self secure and creative.

Bob will challenge all the participants – both riggers and models – on their own level. This means you can improve your skills both on the floor as up in the air. This means that the floorwork exercises will be just as interesting as suspensions with transitions. The workshop will be an interesting combination of bigger and smaller ties. There will be TK- based ties, armbinders, arms-to-legs constructions to work with and more. The bondages will give you lots of opportunity to be sweet, sexy, sadistic or anything else that you as a couple evoke in each other.

Practicalities

  • This workshop will be done on a horizontal beam.
  • Rope set 12 – 15 ropes.

Requirements

This workshop is for people who has done a least the level 2 cursus of Lyon Shibari or that have a minimum practice of rope and suspensions;

  • For the rigger: a safe Gote/TK for suspension (any style), rope management, futomomo, lacing, …
  • For or the model: be able to be in a simple suspension and be able to communicate the physical state of your body.

RopeMarks is not responsible for the safety of the model, this lies with the model and rigger in question. When model and/or rigger are in doubt about the, physical, safety consult RopeMarks before continuing with an exercise.

About the Educators

RopeMarks, Bob

RopeMarks, Bob Roos, is a kinbaku professional from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

He started studying and specializing himself professionally in Japanese rope bondage (shibari, kinbaku) in 1999. Over his career he studied in the land of the rising sun under the lineage of the late Akechi Denki (明智伝鬼) and Naka Akira (奈加あきら). RopeMarks’ work reflects the traditional techniques taught by these leading kinbakushi but is vastly complemented with his own distinct and unique style.

He is famous for his energetic performances in Japanese rope bondage in which he combines traditional kinbaku with his own distinct and unique style, often at incredible speed. With RopeMarks on stage, you will for sure be entertained by dynamic suspensions, a touch of torture and a sense of humor.

He is passionate about sharing his knowledge about kinbaku and shibari in fun and hands-on workshops. In special Masterclasses, he gives enthusiastic rope lovers the understanding that is needed to develop their own styles based on a firm foundation.

Spring

Spring is an enthusiastic Dutch rope bunny and part time fetish and nude model, who loves intensity in every possible way.

Already at a young age Spring had kinky and BDSM fantasies that she didn’t explore until 2011. Rope fascinated her from the beginning and after her first experience she was hooked. She started experimenting with rope and BDSM in her private life and gradually moved towards experimenting and modeling in front of the camera and on stage, satisfying her exhibisionistic streak.

As a rope bunny, Spring loves being seriously challenged. She experiences (slow) suffering as a sexy and sensual way to a deeper connection in which she can totally surrender. Apart from the physical interaction, she loves the impact of nonverbal communication.
