The Workshop

Level: Strong beginner / Intermediate
Prerequisite:
rigger: single and double column ties are your bread and butter (these will not be explained anymore), must be confident with  frictions and know how to do a basic gote and futomomo.
model: you are able to recognize and communicate good/bad bodily sensations.  A pre is experience being in full body ties.

This is a full day workshop in which you’ll learn to suspend and be suspended.  Suspensions look beautiful and they can feel amazing in many ways, but they are not without risk. Our goal with this workshop is to provide you with the essential knowledge and create a safe, shared experience that will empower you to carry forward what you’ve learned once you return home. Therefore the emphasis will be on safety, technique and communication. If you have followed our previous workshop(s) before you will be refreshed, renewed and we will progress your skill for take off.

We will prepare you for suspensions by focusing on several key aspects. First and foremost, enhance your gote tying skills, ensuring this are proficient and reliable. Next, learn to create secure uplines tailored to the specific tasks you wish to accomplish. Lastly, develop a comprehensive understanding of how forces act on the human body during suspensions, ensuring safety remains a top priority throughout the process.

The gote is a classic part of traditional Japanese bondage, aka kinbaku. Since this is the tradition RopeMarks follows and teaches in, we find it important to pass on to you the techniques and knowledge required to tie your models arms behind their back, gote-style. There is not one ‘right’ gote, the ‘right’ gote is the one that works for your model.  And we know, almost, everybody can be comfortable in a gote-based suspension.

For this workshop you will be tying on a carabiner/ring and there are many ways to tie (off) uplines, but which way do you choose when and why? We’ll take you through various exercises to help you really understand this.

Then we take the knowledge of the gote and uplines and go through three full body suspension during which we will shower you with a handful of smaller ties to have fun with during your suspensions.

Recommended follow up workshop, suspensions #2 immersion, is next month.

Who is Spring?

Spring is an enthusiastic Dutch rope bunny who loves intensity in every possible way.

Already at a young age Spring had kinky and BDSM fantasies that she started exploring in 2011. Rope fascinated her from the beginning and after her first experience she was hooked. She started experimenting with rope and BDSM in her private life and gradually moved towards experimenting and modeling in front of the the camera, satisfying her exhibisionistic streak.

As a rope bunny, Spring loves being seriously challenged. She experiences (slow) suffering as a sexy and sensual way to a deeper connection in which she can totally surrender. Apart from the physical interaction, she loves the impact of nonverbal communication.
