Public WorkshopsIt's an exciting foreplay, looks erotic and exciting on photos, it's generally experienced as the best BDSM play, deepens the trust and respect you have towards your partner and is simply fun to do; rope bondage. We think it's save to say that information about rope bondage is the most sought after in the BDSM community world wide. Under the name R.A.R.E. ("RopeMarks Artistic Rope Exchange") we provide worldwide real, fun, NON-PLAY, hands-on workshops. Why RopeMarks? We often get the questions about bondage, technical questions, emotional questions. Instead of answering the same question over and over again we've started organizing workshops where we will provide you with information and teach you Japanese bondage aka shibari or kinbaku the RopeMarks way. What do we offer? We provide a real, fun, NON-PLAY, hands-on workshop about rope bondage heavily influenced by the Japanese style. You'll be told information and taught techniques you can really use! The RopeMarks workshop features supervised practice, a live demonstration, a small attention and take-home material. We provide 4 "off the shelve" workshops: A workshop will not make anybody a bondage master but it will give you additional knowledge and get you another step forward in your rope bondage skill development. Where are our workshops held? Our workshops are usually held on a Sunday on a location in or around Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Regularly we use alternative locations in The Netherlands and occasionally elsewhere in Europe. We intend to start at 14:00 and hope to be finished at 18:00. What does it cost? The price for a RopeMarks workshop will include a four hour workshop, the shared cost of the location*, a small fee for our expenses and to keep RopeMarks alive, generally drinks and snacks, a small attention and take-home material. The average price participants pay for our workshop is €110,- per couple. It has never been more but it has been lower on more than a few occasions. * For every workshop we arrange a location that can hold the number of people participating. Every participant will pay an equal share of the price we pay for the chosen location. Still not convinced? We always start with the history of shibari and its relation to the workshop level you are attending; you get the chance to ask questions. Depending on the level we provide additional relevant information. We then continue with the hands-on part where Bob explains and demonstrates a certain bondage. Then you get to practice the bondage on your own partner. Bob will be available for questions and advice and Chantal is available as a walking example. At the end you will see a live performance. Our workshops have no dress code. Some people will come dressed in Fetish or SM-life-style but most will come in their everyday vanilla outfit. The person being bound does not have to be nude. Nudity is allowed but is not needed. At the very least wear something comfortable or just lingerie. Since the aim is to teach you how to do Japanese bondage we feel you can not learn by coming alone and just watch. You have to practice. For this reason we only allow couples (any combination). Another reason for only allowing couples: We've noticed that for a number of people our workshops are their coming out. These people generally do not feel comfortable when there are people just sitting there and watch them. We want to make our workshops a pleasant experience for everybody. How to Register? If you want to join our workshop you need to be a couple (any combination goes), because you're going to practice the things you will be taught. You can register by following the "registration" link, fill out the form and submit it to us. You will receive a confirmation mail and as soon as we organize a new workshop you will receive an invitation. register here to participate in one of our public workshops
